Dean Melchi has over 30 years of experience in the commercial/multi-family real estate finance industry.
A graduate of Hillsdale College with a BA in Economic and Business Administration, Melchi is also a Certified Mortgage Banker (CMB) and has completed all CCIM course work from the National Realtors Association. He has held executive positions with PNC Multifamily, Red Capital and Collateral Mortgage Capital. During his tenure in the CRE financing industry, Melchi has been involved in the underwriting and closing of more than $1.0 billion in loans. The loans have been collateralized by a wide variety of assets including multifamily, retail, office, industrial and special purpose assets. With loans ranging in size from $500 thousand to over $200 million, Melchi is comfortable working with clients on the purchase of small investment property to the acquisition of major institutional assets. He has collaborated with many reputable investors including life insurance companies, banks, credit unions, commercial mortgage backed securities, real estate investment trusts, FHA, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and other private lending organizations. Guest lecturer at OSU Fisher College of Business regarding the structure and operation of the Commercial Mortgage Backed Securities market.
Melchi has served on the board of St Patrick Catholic Church and Saint Gabriel Catholic Radio, and has been a volunteer member of the National Ski Patrol. He is currently serves as a member of the Admissions Committee, and Rod & Gun Committee for the Athletic Club of Columbus and a 3rd degree Knight with the Knights of Columbus Council 11207. He lives in Riverlea with his wife Kathryn and has three children, and nine grandchildren.
